Ulrike Hinrichs
Ulrike Hinrichs has been Executive Board Member at the BVK since 2011.
She studied German literature, chemistry and political science in Göttingen and Vienna. After completing her studies, she worked at SWR as a trainee. She then went on to spend many years at ARD and subsequently ZDF, working on various news and political formats including Report Mainz, Heute, Heute Journal and Frontal 21. In 2005, Ulrike Hinrichs became the spokeswoman for Federal Minister Horst Seehofer and took over the communications unit at the German Federal Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (BMELV). In 2010, she moved to the executive team at the German Federal Foreign Office, where she was the office manager and head of the task force for the minister of state at the time.
Ulrike Hinrichs is an author and since 2017 has been presenting the talk show “Schlossplatz Berlin. Wo Politik auf Wirtschaft trifft” (Schlossplatz Berlin. Where politics meets business) live on Focus Online, where is also a political commentator.
She is also a member of the “Junge Digitale Wirtschaft” (Young digital economy) advisory board set up by Peter Altmaier, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, as well as a member of the jury for the state funding programme Exist in the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and a member of the advisory board for the Association of German Guarantee Banks (Verband Deutscher Bürgschaftsbanken).
